Daydream Lily played, then Ana played and now I want to play too.

And that's just one!

Pink & Red Thursday

Jaden is my living example of pink & red Thursday seeing how we found out today that he has scarlet fever. However I think it's mean to post pictures of rash-y children. Also all day I thought it was pink and PURPLE Thursday so maybe there will be pink & purple Saturday instead. Now I'll have to use some more of my iPhoto stock for today's entry.

I am tickled pink that our Farmer's Market opened today

Nature's glorious and colorful bounty!

Orange Wednesday

For Color Week I had every intention of taking fresh photos outdoors daily. Alas, life had other plans. My noodle has a sore throat, fever and "sore arms and neck Mama."

Ready for a shocking photo (with a hint of orange)?

Everyone who knows Jaden knows he has NEVER EVER put himself down for a nap as evidenced by this photo taken an hour ago. In fact he hasn't even napped since the preschool switch in December.

Luckily we have quite a few orange items around the house!

I see that most of my favorite crafting tools are orange.
Wonderful tools that help me make fun things with paper.

Like Jaden's 5th birthday party invitation.

I can't possibly overlook the largest orange item at home!
The Orange Car.

Although this one was taken months ago at Santana Row,
that spot of orange jumps out at me today.

And who could forget the Orange Ornaments?

We Are SO Using This Tip

Tips for taking good group photos:

You set the camera to take the photo in timer mode, even if you have a spare person available who could take the photo.

Have the group pose roughly the way you’ll want them, so that the camera will be zoomed the right amount. Okay, is the camera all set? Then EVERYONE who’s going to be in the photo should come over and stand by the camera–not just the person who needs to stand there to press the button.

Anyone not able to move comfortably can stay in the pose position, but everyone else should be at the camera. Press the button, and now EVERYONE run to get into position before the 10 seconds is up.

This results in rosy-cheeked, happy-looking groups, though the group gets more disheveled looking with every “one more time, just to be sure we got a good one.”
